Regardless of experience\, firearms skills are perishable—if they are not regularly practiced\, they diminish. This course challenges students to refine those skills and adopt a higher standard of performance. \nThis is not a beginner-level shooting course. Upon arrival\, students will be evaluated and required to complete a basic firearms qualification to assess their current proficiency. Participants must have prior experience carrying and operating with a full-duty belt and equipment. Recent experience within the last six months is preferred but not required. \nThe course emphasizes 100 percent accountability for every round fired. Instruction is centered on precision\, discipline\, and decision-making under pressure. The course introduces a “broken glass” theory of firearms use\, where indiscriminate or poorly placed shots are not excused or praised. Instead\, students are trained to place rounds exactly where intended—and equally important\, to exercise restraint and withhold fire when a proper shot is not available. \nSafety skills at this level are pushed and students are expected to maintain absolute muzzle discipline at all times. \nEquipment Required for this Course\n\nDuty Belt\, War Belt or Battle Belt\nDouble Mag Pouch\, (minimum)\nLevel II or III Holster\nRange bag (Optional)\nFully Size Duty Firearm Glock 45 or Larger Size. (Sub Compact firearms are not suitable for this course. Glock 19 or 23 size permitted if this is your primary duty weapon.)\n250 Rounds of ammunition. (Minimum. You are welcome to bring more if you choose.)\nDump Pouch (Optional not required)\nSnacks\, Sunscreen\, Eye Pro\, Ear Pro (Eyes and Ears Available is needed)\nBring Water. DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION \nThis course is designated for Current Armed Licensed Security Officers seeking to take their skills to the next level. Officers must have an active PILB Armed Officer Work Card and full equipment. \nSkills covered during this course are advanced in Nature and Students will be required to demonstrate their ability to safely and proficiently\, draw from a level II or III Retention Holster and make effective hits on a silhouette or “A” frame steel or paper target at 15 to 25 Yards. \nStudents needing to requalify for the PILB must notify the instructor at the beginning of the course and they will be qualified as required to maintain their armed office status. Sponsorship letters are available to those that may need to be sponsored. Please contact Shots Fired Directly at (702) 907-3521 if you require sponsorship by a licensed security company. \nArmed officers will be required to pass a pre-qualification to determine their appropriate skill level. Participants that fail this prequalification will be provided the opportunity to train and get their skills to where they need to be to pass. \nEQUIPMENT REQUIRED\n\nAcceptable Duty Firearm with 4-inch barrel or longer. DESCRIPTION:This course is designated for those desiring to obtain a Concealed Firearms Permit (CCW)\, permitting one to legally carry a concealed firearm on his or her person\, within the state of Nevada. Nevada Revised Statue (NRS) 202.3657(3)(c)(1\,2) states any person seeking issuance of a permit to carry a concealed firearm must: \n“(1) Successfully completed a course in firearm safety approved by a sheriff in this State; or (2) Successfully completed a course in firearm safety offered by a federal\, state or local law enforcement agency\, community college\, university or national organization that certifies instructors in firearm safety.” \nThis course is an 8 hour course of instruction and has been approved by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department\, (LVMPD) as having met the standard of training required to offer a course of instruction in carrying a concealed firearm within the state of Nevada. This course does not guarantee one issuance of a concealed firearm permit rather\, provides a certificate of training completion required to obtain a permit. Concealed firearm permits are issued at the discretion of LVMPD\, upon completion of a thorough background investigation to the satisfaction of the department. For more information regarding ones eligibility to obtain a concealed firearm permit\, please see NAC 202 for eligibility and requirements. \nSubject matters and concepts covered during this class consist of but are not limited to: Firearm use\, safety\, in and outside the home carry considerations\, restrictions\, use and de-escalation of deadly force\, nevada administrative code\, laws and Nevada revised statues pertaining to and governing the carrying of a concealed firearm in the state of Nevada\, (NAC 202&NRS 202.3657). SUMMARY:Nevada PILB Armed officer course
DESCRIPTION:This is a TWO DAY course and full attendance to both days is required to pass the course. The course is two 8 hour days that consist of the first day being classroom learning and the second day being on a live fire outdoor shooting range. At the end of the second day of class\, participants will participate in a live fire pass or fail shooting qualification. A passing score must be obtained to complete the course and receive certification. \nRequirements: \n\nLetter from a PILB licensed Qualified manager sponsoring you for this course. Letter must be provided directly to the instructor for you to attend this course.\nUnexpired unarmed work card. The instructor will check your card upon arrival. If you do not have your card with you at the first day of class you will be scheduled for the next following course.\nNote-taking materials such as tablet\, laptop or pen and paper.\nParticipants must arrive dressed in Full Company Uniform.\nLate arrivals will not be allowed to participate and will be scheduled for the next course.\nMust not have worked the graveyard shift the evening / morning prior to either day of the course.\nMust not have consumed any alcohol or controlled substance within 24 hours of the course.\nMust bring your own food and water. There are no places to purchase food on or near the range.

SUMMARY:NEVADA CONCEALED FIREARMS PERMIT COURSE (CCW)
DESCRIPTION:This course is designated for those desiring to obtain a Concealed Firearms Permit (CCW)\, permitting one to legally carry a concealed firearm on his or her person\, within the state of Nevada. Nevada Revised Statue (NRS) 202.3657(3)(c)(1\,2) states any person seeking issuance of a permit to carry a concealed firearm must: \n“(1) Successfully completed a course in firearm safety approved by a sheriff in this State; or (2) Successfully completed a course in firearm safety offered by a federal\, state or local law enforcement agency\, community college\, university or national organization that certifies instructors in firearm safety.” \nThis course is an 8 hour course of instruction and has been approved by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department\, (LVMPD) as having met the standard of training required to offer a course of instruction in carrying a concealed firearm within the state of Nevada. This course does not guarantee one issuance of a concealed firearm permit rather\, provides a certificate of training completion required to obtain a permit. Concealed firearm permits are issued at the discretion of LVMPD\, upon completion of a thorough background investigation to the satisfaction of the department. For more information regarding ones eligibility to obtain a concealed firearm permit\, please see NAC 202 for eligibility and requirements. \nSubject matters and concepts covered during this class consist of but are not limited to: Firearm use\, safety\, in and outside the home carry considerations\, restrictions\, use and de-escalation of deadly force\, nevada administrative code\, laws and Nevada revised statues pertaining to and governing the carrying of a concealed firearm in the state of Nevada\, (NAC 202&NRS 202.3657). Additional concepts discussed are crimes involving the use of a firearm\, liability legal aspects\, psychological and physiological effects of stress and life-threatening situations\, and moral and ethical decision making processes and considerations.
