DESCRIPTION:Intermediate-Level Firearms Training\nDate: October 15\, 2026\nLocation: Clark County Shooting Complex — 100 Yard Range\nCourse Time: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.\nCheck-In: 3:30 p.m.\nCourse Description\nThis intermediate-level firearms course is designed to introduce and develop practical skills\nassociated with the safe handling and use of a duty handgun during low-light and no-light\nconditions.\nTraining will focus on safe firearm handling\, target identification\, flashlight integration\, firearm\nmanipulation\, movement and decision-making in reduced-light environments. Students will work\nwith both handheld flashlights and\, when equipped\, weapon-mounted lights.\nThe course will transition from daylight into nighttime conditions to allow students to experience\nchanging visibility and lighting conditions throughout the training period. \nMandatory Safety Brief\nThe mandatory range safety briefing begins promptly at 4:00 p.m.\nAll students must be present for the complete safety briefing before participating in any live-fire\ntraining.\nAny attendee who arrives after the safety briefing has begun or who misses any portion of\nthe safety briefing will not be permitted to continue in the course. \nRequired Equipment Each Student Must Bring:\n\nDuty belt;\n Duty-size pistol with a Level II or Level III retention holster;\n No subcompact pistols are permitted. Firearm barrels must be 4 inches or longer;\n Dual magazine pouch;\n Minimum of three pistol magazines;\n 300 rounds of factory ammunition\n Students should expect to fire approximately 200–250 rounds;\nHandheld flashlight — REQUIRED FOR EVERY STUDENT;\nWeapon-mounted light — recommended\, but optional and not required;\nEye protection; and\nHearing protection\nEye and hearing protection will be available for students who do not have their own.\n\nCLOSED — INVITE ONLY COURSE \n\nThis is a CLOSED\, INVITE-ONLY training course.\nAttendance is limited to individuals specifically authorized to participate.\nPersons interested in attending must contact:\nInfo@shotsfiredlv.com\nor contact their designated Training Coordinator for additional information regarding eligibility\nand attendance.\nSubmitting an inquiry does not guarantee admission into the course.\nStudent Prerequisites — Intermediate Level\nThis is not a beginner-level firearms course.\nThis course has been categorized as an INTERMEDIATE-LEVEL training course.\nStudents are expected to arrive with an established foundation in safe firearm handling and\noperation. \n\nEach student must: \n\n Know and understand the Core Four Firearm Safety Rules;\n Demonstrate safe handling of his or her firearm upon arrival;\n Be familiar with loading\, unloading and basic firearm manipulations;\n Safely draw from and return the firearm to a duty retention holster;\n Maintain proper muzzle and trigger-finger discipline at all times; and\nFollow range commands immediately and without hesitation.\nParticipation is contingent upon the student demonstrating safe firearm-handling ability\nupon arrival.\nAny student who cannot safely demonstrate the prerequisite skills\, or whose firearm handling\npresents a safety concern\, may be prohibited from participating in the live-fire portion of the\ncourse.\n\nCertificate of Training \nSecurity professionals who successfully complete the Low-Light / No-Light Night Shooting\nCourse will receive a Certificate of Training for Completion of Low-Light / No-Light\nFirearms Training.\nIssuance of the certificate is contingent upon successful completion of all required course\nactivities and continued compliance with all safety and range requirements.
