THE PILB Board is Voting on Eliminating the VEAS.

The Nevada Private Investigator’s Licensing Board (PILB) will meet on June 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM to discuss and vote on the future of the VEAS (Verification of Employment for Armed Security) Form.

The Nevada Association of Certified Firearms Instructors (NVACFI) has hired an attorney to challenge the requirement that armed security officers obtain employer authorization to receive armed certification and requalification. The Board’s decision will directly affect all work card holders’ ability to obtain and keep armed work cards.

Every armed security officer, firearms instructor, security company owner & qualified agent should attend this meeting and make their voice heard.
