This course is designed for Security Professionals seeking certification as a Less Lethal Officer. Participants that complete the course will receive: 1) A Certificate of Training & 2) A Less Lethal Weapons Permit, Valid for One Year, from the date of issuance.

The course curriculum includes training on:

1) Safe, Proper Use & De-escalation with Collapsible & Straight Stick Batons.
2) Safe & Proper Use of Handcuffs for situations where handcuffing a suspect are absolutely necessary.
3) Safe & Propper Use of OC Spray, Mace and or Pepper Spray.

All participants are REQUIRED to undergo LIVE EXPOSURE to: “Sabre Red OC / Pepper Spray” in order to complete the course. During this exposure, each participant must navigate an obstacle course before proceeding to decontamination. We firmly believe it is absolutely necessary for officers carrying this less lethal tool to comprehend both the physiological & psychological impacts and effects of OC Spray.

The course will take place indoors in a traditional style classroom learning environment with PowerPoint presentations, and engaging Q & A with the instructor. The classroom portion will also, briefly cover Nevada Powers to arrest.

The Practical exercises and physical portions of the class will be held outdoors. Students should plan to bring a FULL Change of clothes to change into after they have completed Decontamination.

Participants MUST complete ALL portions of the course to receive certification and PASS for the course. Failure to complete any portion of the course will result in either a FAIL or Withdrawal
from the course.

THIS COURSE IS 100% NON REFUNDABLE. FAILURE TO ATTEND THE FULL COURSE OR FAILURE TO PASS THE COURSE WILL NOT ENTITLE YOU TO A REFUND. 

Requirements:

1. Active PILB Card.
2. Ability to stand for extended periods of 2 hours or more.
3. Full use of hands, feet, and arms.
4. Comfortable exercise clothing that can get SOAKED & Dirty.
5. Spare change of clothing to change into after live exposure to OC / Pepper Spray.
6. Closed toe shoes are required.
7. Due to the inherent safety concerns involved in this course, pregnant persons are PROHIBITED
   from attending this course.
8. Contacts CANNOT BE WORN DURING OC EXPOSURE!!
9.  Do NOT bring Milk, Baby Shampoo or any other decontamination material with you.
10. If in the past 6 months you have received any eye surgery such as, but not limited to LASIK, PRK, etc, you are prohibited from attending this course.
11. Any pre-existing  health conditions that can prohibit you from any participation in a FULL contact sport, martial arts type training will Prohibit you from participating in this course.
12. Any person having been convicted of ANY FELONY is NOT permitted to attend the course per Nevada Law, as they are generally prohibited from possession of any weapon.
13. Individuals with an any form of protection order against them are PROHIBITED from attending this class.
14. Sandals, crocs, or loose-fitting shoes are NOT ALLOWED TO BE WORN!
15. Please remember to bring water, snacks and food for yourself.
